The Lady Lighthouse Keeper

Please join us for the book release party of the brand-new historical novel by Mary Korpi entitled The Lady Lighthouse Keeper. The novel is based on the life of Stella Prince who kept the light at Horton Point Lighthouse for many years, and was the lighthouse keeper of record from May 1903-1904.  The only female lighthouse keeper, Prince’s story inspired Mary Korpi to write a novel revolving around her. After the presentation, docents will be on-site for tours at the Maple Lane Complex.
We hope you’ll also visit the Nautical Museum at Horton Point Lighthouse this summer where you can climb the tower and learn more about local nautical history and the lives of the lighthouse keepers. Open weekends starting May 28.
